Using the Boat Station - Documentation

Standard Operating Procedures

Users of the Boat Station should be familiar with the contents of the SOP.  It is recommended that this document is read intermittently in order to remain fully aware of all regulatory requirements. 

The SOP can be downloaded or read online.  Please feel free to print the document, but before using it for training purposes, please check that you are using the latest version. Updates are written in red for those who are familiar with the SOP.

Health & Safety Guidelines

All users of the Boat Station MUST adhere to these guidelines.

Boat Station Booking

For availability of the boat station, please review the spreadsheet, or alternatively contact the Principal or their deputy.

It should be noted that more than one Unit at a time can use the boat station; when this is the case, then the boats should be shared appropriately. Bookings are not on a 'first come first served' principle.

The booking form should be filled in and returned to the Principal, with a copy sent to the website administrator.

Risk Assessments

There are various risk assessments associated with using the Boat Station. It is mandatory that these are also read in order than procedures are followed correctly. They are included in the list below - should anyone require these in an alternative format, please let the website administrator know. These are all available in hard copy at the Boat Station.
